The Brief
Devon Truck Show is the South West’s largest event of its kind. While the name suggests it’s all about trucks, the show offers much more—live music, family entertainment, and a brilliant day out for all ages. Find out more about the show.
Our task was to help make 2025 the biggest and best year yet by increasing ticket sales, raising brand affinity, and enhancing the event’s digital presence in the build-up to, during, and after the show.
Paid Social – Facebook & Instagram Ads
We implemented Meta ads at strategic points throughout the year. The first wave promoted early bird pricing, designed to drive early revenue and give organisers financial headroom to plan the event. The second wave launched three months prior to the show to push final ticket sales and maximise reach.
We created a diverse range of ad formats, including video, static images, and carousels. Messaging was tailored to different audience segments—families, music lovers, and truck enthusiasts—ensuring every group felt represented.
All campaign assets were designed and produced in-house, using a mix of professionally shot footage from the previous year and new graphics. We ran multiple ad copy variations for A/B testing, and adjusted messaging in real time to create urgency (e.g., “Tickets sold out last year” and “Only one day to go!”).

Organic Social Media Strategy
The show’s organiser managed social channels for most of the year. Two months before the event, we stepped in to ensure consistent, high-quality content and sustained momentum in the critical lead-up period.
We implemented a content schedule to keep engagement high and made use of Facebook group sharing to tap into local communities. Consistency helped boost reach through favourability in the algorithm, and audience interaction increased accordingly.
We also provided full live coverage across the event weekend. From on-the-ground phone footage to professional drone shots, we created real-time content that generated a strong FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) effect. Notably, 18% of total ticket sales occurred during the event itself, driven by this real-time content push.
Our team also visited the site in the days leading up to the show, capturing interviews with organisers and sneak peeks at what attendees could expect. Our content highlighted key information such as attending trucks, live acts, sponsors, and behind-the-scenes insights. Tone of voice was carefully adjusted to suit the passionate and loyal trucking community.

Website
We maintained and updated the website, which we had originally designed the previous year. The site continues to climb in SEO rankings and is now ranking #1 for the search term “truck show”.
All show-related updates, including lineups, FAQs, and ticketing info, were posted promptly to support user experience and drive conversions.
PR & Influencer Outreach
We created and distributed press releases to local news outlets and collaborated with influencers to generate buzz. Influencers were gifted tickets in return for authentic content. As a result, we secured coverage in Devon Live and The Midweek Herald, among others.
Going the Extra Mile
We pride ourselves on being hands-on and collaborative. During the event, our team even helped manage artist meet-and-greets and lent a hand wherever needed. Our strong working relationship with the organisers is based on trust, enthusiasm, and a shared passion for making each year better than the last.
